Trust is the basis for any human and technical interaction. Research collaborations have been sharing resources and data for decades; however, the open science wave is pushing to make scientific research and its underlying data more accessible to all levels of society.

09:00 - 09:30Keynote: Global Identity Trends, Challenges, and Opportunities By Andrew HindleConsultant for digital identity, privacy, cyber security, and corporate governance

In a complex global context of shifting technological, regulatory, and geopolitical forces, the digital identity industry landscape is rapidly evolving.  What’s changing, and how can we stay agile to take advantage of new opportunities?

In this talk, Andrew examines four emerging trends which together will shape the future of digital identity: the rise of the personal identity ecosystem; the growing prevalence and importance of non-human identity; event-driven and continuous identity architectures; and the transformative role of AI and machine learning. Together, these trends challenge us to develop adaptive systems that keep pace with change… but if we can stay flexible, innovative, and agile, we have the opportunity to deliver resilient systems, enhanced user experiences, and improved outcomes for our organisations.
